Production services and local crew for filming in Cayman
For productions arriving from overseas: crew, kit, locations, permits and someone on the ground who knows how things actually work here.
What a fixer is worth
Cayman is a small island with a short list of people who can actually get you into a location, and a customs process that will hold your camera kit if the paperwork is wrong.
We have run production services for crews flying in with their own team, and covered everything from scouting and permits to finding a driver who will be awake at five.
Full crew or extra hands
Some productions want a complete local crew. Some arrive with a DP and a director and need camera assist, sound, lighting, grip, transport and a fixer.
Either works. We also shoot as a local unit for overseas producers who cannot justify flying everybody in for two days of pickups, and we can deliver the edit here so it is finished before you leave.
Questions we get asked
- Do we need a filming permit in the Cayman Islands?
- Usually yes, and there is a media production licence process to go through. We handle it, and the lead time is the thing people underestimate, so talk to us early.
- Can you help with kit clearing customs?
- Yes. Send us your equipment list well before you fly and we will tell you what is going to cause a problem.
- What about the Sister Islands?
- We work on Cayman Brac and Little Cayman too. Both need travel and freight planned in rather than treated as a day trip.
